CropGuard is a Web and Mobile pest management application that was developed in response to the AgriHack competition hosted by the CTA in 2014. AgriHack required Caribbean developers to create solutions to key problems facing the agriculture sector and was intended to encourage the participation of youth in agriculture. CropGuard represented Barbados at the regional AgriHack finals in Suriname and placed 2nd overall.

CropGuard has been developed to provide sector stakeholders including Farmers, Householders, Sector Administrators and Suppliers with the ability to better diagnose, manage and treat harmful pests through the use of Web and Mobile technology. CropGuard provides diagnosis, information sharing, knowledge enhancement and data collection via user friendly mobile and web interfaces.
